The Online SAT Prep Class
The SAT isn't just an admissions requirement. For many families, it's the key to scholarship dollars. Most merit scholarships have a minimum score attached to them, and once you clear that bar, real money starts opening up.
Here's the encouraging part: the SAT is learnable. It's not a measure of how smart you are; it's a measure of how well you know the test. Once you understand the format, pacing, and strategy behind each question type, your scores move. And when scores move, so does scholarship potential.
Class Price - $350
A quick look at the current SAT format
The SAT is a fully digital, adaptive test, taken online through the College Board's testing app. It runs 2 hours and 14 minutes (plus a short break) and is split into two sections:
✓ Reading and Writing:
64 minutes, 54 questions. Short passages (25–150 words) paired with grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension questions.
✓ Math:
70 minutes, 44 questions. Covers algebra, advanced math, problem-solving, and geometry/trig. Desmos is embedded in the Blue Book App.
Each section has two modules, and the test adapts as you go: your performance on the first module determines whether the second module is easier or harder. There's no penalty for wrong answers, so the strategy is always to answer everything.
Knowing the format is step one. Knowing how to work inside it is step two. The pacing, question triage, process of elimination, and when to guess and move on are what actually raise a score. That's what I teach.

Online SAT Test Prep Class — $350

A self-paced SAT class that breaks down the test section by section and teaches the strategy behind every question type. Using the same hands-on method proven over 16 years of ACT instruction, you learn how to quickly spot the right answer and why it's right.
✓ Who it's for:
Students who learn well independently or want the flexibility to study on your own schedule.
✓ Includes:
Three years of access to the online platform. Siblings can use the same login during that window — no extra fees.
In-Person SAT Test Prep Class — $395
✓ What it is:
Small, personalized SAT classes taught in Kentucky and Tennessee. You get real-time instruction, live feedback, and the confidence that comes from working through the material face-to-face — plus full access to the online course as a bonus.
✓ Who it's for:
Families in our service area who want direct interaction and hands-on guidance, with online access to reinforce what they learned between sessions.
✓ Includes:
All in-person class sessions, plus full online course access for continued practice at home.

16 Years of Teaching Students How to Take the Test
I hold a BA in Communications from the University of Kentucky and an MA in Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary. That background shapes how I teach: clearly, patiently, and with an eye on what's actually going on with the student in front of me, not just the material.
For 16 years, I've taught the ACT. Now I'm bringing that same proven approach to the SAT. Over that time, I've taught more than 10,000 students in person, and since launching the online ACT course in 2020, over 5,000 students have gone through it. That experience is baked into every SAT lesson, practice set, and strategy we teach.
